Our Story

Our journey didn’t begin in a boardroom. It began in the fields.

For the past five years, we have worked closely with farmers through our agricultural drone spraying service. Using our own drones every single day, we witnessed the reality of modern farming — crops heavily treated with chemicals, especially paddy and sugarcane. Sugarcane farming, in particular, required repeated and intensive chemical spraying.

Over time, it became impossible to ignore a hard truth:

These chemicals don’t stop in the fields — they enter our food, our bodies, and our lives.

Being so close to this process changed the way we saw food.

Daily exposure to these chemicals caused skin irritation and allergies among our team. That’s when a deeper realization struck us:

if chemicals can harm our skin so easily, imagine what they do inside our bodies when we consume them every day. That question stayed with us — what we feed ourselves today becomes the foundation of our tomorrow.

As we searched for answers, we didn’t look forward — we looked back.

For more than 4000 years, our ancestors lived strong, active lives using simple, natural foods. One such timeless ingredient was Karupatti (Palm Jaggery) — a natural sweetener used long before refined white sugar entered our kitchens. Karupatti wasn’t just sweetness. It was nourishment, balance, and tradition.

However, in today’s fast-moving lifestyle, traditional Karupatti in its solid form posed real challenges — short shelf life, fungal issues, and difficulty in daily use. Instead of abandoning tradition, we chose to evolve it.

By transforming Karupatti into a modern, easy-to-use powder format, we preserved its nutritional integrity while making it practical for everyday life. The result is a product that honors the past and fits seamlessly into the present.

This decision marked the birth of Tamil Maram.
